What can be preserved?:
You can preserve most fruits including apples, apricots, berries, tomatoes, cherries, citrus fruits, grapes, mangos, passionfruit, peaches, pears, pineapple, plums, quinces or a combination. Vegetables such as onions, capsicum, broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, squash and chilli can be pickled alone or combined to make a great antipasto.
Fowlers Preserving Wax is the perfect airtight sealing agent for jams, pickles, chutneys and relishes. The airtight seal it creates ensures freshness and longevity, especially favoured for those preserves with a high vinegar content, such as pickles and chutneys. When a longer storage time is envisaged for jam, preserving wax assists in eliminating crystallisation and discolouration due to oxidisation.
Jam Making Instructions:
Step 1. Select and prepare dry, barely ripe or slightly under ripe fruit.
Step 2: Gently cook fruit in preserving pan or large open wide saucepan until it is soft and pulpy.
Step 3: Add Jamsetta and warmed sugar. Dissolve over a low heat stirring constantly.

Step 4: Once dissolved, boil rapidly until the setting point is reached (see back of Jamsetta for info).
Step 5: Once setting point is reached (see JAMSETTA packet), skim off any surface scum.
Step 7: Pour into warm dry jars and seal immediately with Kleerview Covers or Preserving Wax.

Step 8: Allow jam jars to cool, label and serve!
