Product Description:
Yeast Nutrient Diammonium Phosphate (DAP). A source of nitrogen for yeast. Use .5 – .75 grams per 4l of must to aid yeast and help reduce later problems with hydrogen sulfide.
Yeast is a very important part of the fermentation process, gobbling up the sugar and converting it into alcohol. But sometimes the yeast tires out before all the desired sugar is converted—that’s what’s referred to as a “stuck” fermentation. Adding nitrogen to the yeast can fix this problem and that’s where DAP becomes involved.
